What are you working on RIGHT NOW?
When this whole pandemic went down, to be honest I was caught a bit off guard.
I wasn't prepared for the economy to practically shut down.
The first few days I was kinda freaking out because all new sales and revenue came to a screeching halt.
My sales staff we're lacking focus and production, and I was forced to push my entire company to work remotely in a matter of days.
To top it off, customers started asking for refunds on packages they bought just to pay their bills.
It was pretty rough and might have been easy to throw in the towel (trust me I considered it), but I couldn't let that happen. I had worked to hard to build what I have today... BUT whatever happens, happens and if I had to eventually shut down, so be it!
But, I wasn't going to go down without a fight.
So that's when I got to work, (maybe you can relate?)
Except for one thing...I wasn't exactly sure what I should work on first? Initially, I just reacted and started working hours upon hours day and night for a week... and you know what?
It was in the wrong direction!
I wasted a week, 80 hours going the wrong direction... ugh!
The worst part is, I knew better. I knew that I needed to rely on my tried and true methods.
I reminded myself that *everything I needed was already within me*. I don't want to rely on a special loan program, (although it would certainly help!).
Regardless, this pandemic wasn't going to stop me, in fact, it was going to PUSH me! Push me further than I had ever been pushed before.
Next thing you know, I started to replace COVID problems with opportunities.
Suddenly everything I was doing was from an opportunistic mindset, instead of fear...and I got back into the flow of things and things seemed to be falling into place.
Then the "stay at home" order was extended!
Didn't matter to me... I had felt less stressed about what was going on than maybe anything else in my life, (weird huh?)
Why? What did I do?
I went to work on making a list of potential key impact areas of my business. I thought these through long and hard and created a plan of action and started executing on it!
Guess what! It was working...
But as I talked to other business owners and fellow entrepreneurs, I couldn't help but notice something.
They were all having the same problems I had. Some worse and even giving up.
Some are sitting around waiting for the SBA grants to save them and others, are just stressed out of their minds.
How about you?
